George,

Ordered the DVD on Wednesday watched it on Friday night. I had been fiddling with the swing a week before the DVD with what I learned on this forum and watching clips on the peaceriver site. With my limited understanding of the swing I was happy with the results and couldn't wait till I watched the DVD to fill in the gaps of my knowledge.

I should give you a little background info about me. I started golfing in 1999. I am currently 35. This year I started with a 21 USGA index and have lowered it to a 17. Anybody who plays with me cannot figure out why I am not playing in the single digits. I practice a lot. My swing looks really good. However, my impact is inconsistent. I am always trying to find the proper "feel" in my swing. The problem is I have to give myself feelings that I know are not what I am doing. This leads to different feels for different days. Meaning I can never carry the same feel day after day. Which means my swing changes a bit from day after day.

Well anyway . . . I watched your DVD and right from the beginning I was like hey this reminds me of Colin Montgomery! Right after I said that you mentioned Colin's name. All I do now is imagine imitating Colin on the backswing. This has helped my tempo on the backswing. This is done in total "blackout" where before I had to think about turn my arm this way, bring the club back inside here, etc. The downswing I just have to remember to move hip left and karate chop. I have never hit such solid shots with such ease and no pain in my back. It fees so smooth. The only thing I need to work on is how far to stand from the ball with my woods.

Wedges are easier than ever. I have always been very good with wedges. However, fat and thin shots have always messed me up. now that I know how to measure to the ball that isn't much of a problem.

I think this swing is much easier because what I feel is what I do! and I like that. Also it is mindless. I can't wait till next year after I get a winter to work on this. Right now I know what I need to concentrate on. I am sure I will be in contact with you once i work on my compound pivot and karate chop more.

Thank you for a great product. Your detail is almost too much! I don't mean that as an insult because that is what I have been looking for. I have no questions. I am glad you talked me into the DVD rather than the book. I am ADHD and there is no way I would have made it through the book with all that detail. You have really made a frustrated golfer who really works hard on his game so happy.

Hope to meet you some day and thank you personally.

Your book "Golf Is Not That Hard", has helped me cut 6 strokes so far this season. I can't thank you enough for the fun it's brought me.  If you have any special ideas on casting with a driver, which I do at times, let me know.  It doesn't seem to happen with other clubs.  Wishing you continued successTony (May 25, 2006)

Dear Mr. Hibbard:  I read your book over the weekend and loved it. I did all the drills and everything felt natural. I know I probably am not supposed to hit balls so soon but I couldn't resist. I have a net in my basement.  I couldn't believe how solid I hit the ball with very little effort.  I live on a golf course so I had to try my driver.  I hit my only tee shot 260 yards. I know that isn't that far, but it is only 20 degrees here!  I will continue with the drills.  This book is now my swing bible.  And George, you are welcome to use this reply as a testimonial. I have already recommended the book to 4 friends.  I loved the explanation about the hip pivot. It makes sense. I can't believe it has never been explained like that before. I have taken my share of lessons and read enough wrong information to fill a library. I will be sticking to your instruction.  The impact bag is also very helpful. Thanks again.

Sincerely, Scott N.  (Apr 6, 2006)

George,

I received the DVD Wednesday of this week and have been watching it every night. What a great job you have done! I really appreciate your dedication to making the Austin method so understandable. I especially like the swing demo on the third DVD. It just brings everything together that is on the other two DVDs and illustrates the complete picture of the swing.

I do believe that I will be playing better golf this weekend and every weekend after now, thanks to you and your efforts. Thank you so much.

You may use this email as a testimonial, if you are so inclined.  Thanks a million George!   Frank

Email received April 25, 2006-

"Hi, George,   Thank-you so much for your book and tape which I ordered back in 2003. Through the years I have been a presentable golfer, working my scores in the low 80's and mid-high 70's each year. My golf has been sporadic due to many interests and demands upon my time, and consequently, it has seemed that with the coming of each Spring I have had to relearn the game again. When I received your materials in '03 I had already read and been in conversation with David Lee, and found your work to be complimentary with his. Yet, I never really took the time to delve into what your teaching method expressed and how the swing itself was presented. Beginning in '06 I reread your book Perfect Impact, once , then twice I highlighted, then tested, then smiled.  There were several Wow, passages from the grip to the arm on chest (oops, breast) baseball swing to the transition from backswing to front foot weight shift, which made it all fall into place for me. Now as a new golf season begins-solid contact, beautiful little divots an inch in front of the ball, a great finish and scores in the 70's. As a part-time amateur, recreational golfer, I could'nt ask for much more. What a pleasant experience it has been working through distance learning with you.  You're a great teacher.

Sincerely,   John C. Lefler, Vice President, High Point University, High Point, NC   ------
